Software package “Estimating System” for BTI

Bureau of technical information (BTI) is the biggest organization in Tatar Republic which introduces software in building, projecting, and industry. Developed software complex “Estimating System” is the main product which is introduced by BTI

Task

Develop a data base for storing and convenient search of information in estimating system. Provide connection with an end user, notify them about any changes, and add new documents or comments immediately.

1) WEB.Estimating System
It is a web part for showing actual information about estimating system which allows storing big amount of files (pdf, html, txt, graphic, videos). Application has advanced searching system and hierarchal structure of information. For the quick access to the document you may add it to bookmarks or add to “under control”, in this case the system will announce if any changes with this document are made. You may find discussion of users and comments of specialists at the forum.

For this service we have developed an administrator’s account. All information about clients and terms of their license may be found there, you may set the level of an access for new and already registered users. It is available to have a survey, make promos, add news and events. Work with “Estimating System. Agent” is organized too.

2) Estimating system.Agent
This is a Windows application which allows cooperating with a client. Estimating system.Agent works similar to messengers qip, icq etc. It informs a user with a popup window and audible alert if any information at the main server was added or edited. When you click the notification you are redirected to subsystem WEB.Estimating System. Application implements the interaction of a client and technical support unit: a chat is built-in, an active call-back button. Correspondence and news are saved in the history. One of very useful function is informing a user about activity in subscribed topics of the forum.
